Quite possibly the hardest working man in comedy and film (don’t tell Kevin), Lil Rel Howery took time out mid-pandemic to come to Nashville and record a new album. Easily the most contemporary release since lockdown, subject-matter-wise, Rel doesn’t just dwell on Covid, but digs deep into the insurrection, Black Lives Matter, fame, hoarding, and more. With his rapid-fire delivery and mischievous cackle, he mixes race, sex, and politics in equal measure, often punctuated with hilarious impressions of singers.
